Tremolo picking approaches

Hi, I’ve included three examples of tremolo picking as a start. My ability to play lead lines is pretty much on the floor speed wise, so really looking to figure what errors I’m making on my right hand so I can the work on building up fretting hand speed. I think Ex 3 is instructive, in that I clearly move to a different slower orientation when going for accuracy - it’s what I usually change to when trying the Gilbert lick for example.

6s and Hall of Fame

For what it’s worth this is me trying and failing to go for speed on two string crossing licks. The second one is a pattern my guitar teacher benchmarks occasionally and I can’t get beyond 70bpm in 16th notes.

Tremolo Ex3

This finger or knuckle planted (USX?) orientation is what my hand naturally gravitates to when trying to play lead lines accurately but it’s not fast or smooth on the tremolo.

Tremolo Ex2

In my head this is RDT, feels not too bad but not as fast as DSX.
