For what it’s worth this is me trying and failing to go for speed on two string crossing licks. The second one is a pattern my guitar teacher benchmarks occasionally and I can’t get beyond 70bpm in 16th notes.
This finger or knuckle planted (USX?) orientation is what my hand naturally gravitates to when trying to play lead lines accurately but it’s not fast or smooth on the tremolo.
In my head this is RDT, feels not too bad but not as fast as DSX.
DSX wrist picking, probably fastest but not necessarily smoothest
