Hello dear CtC Team, my name is Jermaine and I'm playing Guitar for 6 years now.
This is a big step for me. I'm very new to CtC and I would like to share my Problems I have to get rid off. I'm still blown away. I found out 3 days ago that there is even a name for my “bad picking technique” which, by the way, I never paid attention to, . Called Stringhopping.
The problems start when I want to play quickly. My muscles tire quickly and I just can't play fast, even if I try to increase the speed very slowly and try hard. Maximum Speed limit with my primary motion is round about 100-120 bpm sixteenth notes across the strings.
My tremolo picking feels completely different, so smooth, so much faster.
In the beginning of my subscribtion, I thought I'm using USX but now, I get the feeling I know nothing hehe.
Are the exersices or any methods to get rid of stringhopping when it comes to fast playing? Will the primer teach any kind of approach to do that?
I'm very thankful for any kind of help I can get.
Thank you
