Step 1: Memorize the fretting and the sequence of pickstrokes. Step 2: Decide where you will put the accents Step 3: Try to speed up, while keeping track of the accents. Some additional notes: - No metronome needed, because the focus is to synchronize the two hands at speed, not to be 100% regular with timing. Once the sync is good at speed, you can add metronomes, drum tracks or backing track to work on your timing. - At first, don't worry about the notes in between the accents --- the priority is to synchronize the accented notes.
