I have lost all technique

Description

I feel like any kind of picking ability I had has been lost. I am a terrible picker and would love to get better. I can feel tension when I play, I can see that I'm making jumpy jagged motions. Even when I am playing a single note in 16ths I have trouble keeping it in time, it feels like every pick stroke is moving away from the string at different distances and things are not consistent. I have tried different picks of different thicknesses and nothing makes any difference. If anything, when I play with a Dunlop Sharp pick I have feel my poor technique exaggerated. It's like the pick gets stuck in the strings, I miss the string on certain strokes and it just feels bad. When I move to the higher strings it feels more difficult to play on these. The low E isn't too bad, but the high E causes me a lot of problems. The door knock and elbow motion feel the most comfortable to me.
