Mohamed picking near the neck

Hello!! So i have been experiencing with my right hand positioning. If you see all my previous videos, i have been putting my right hand on the bridge to try and go for the RDT position as showed in the pickslanting primer instructional video. This puts immediate strain on my right shoulder and upper arm. I have been continuing to use it figured maybe it just needs some time to kick in. I usually play with guitar in my right leg, but using this anchoring method, the only way to play without significant strain is to position the guitar on my left leg, but this throws off my left hand access to the neck. In this video , i demonstrated the most natural way for me to play, to pick near the neck (between the neck and middle pickup on a strat) while anchoring my little finger. I have zero strain playing this way, i can hit the lower strings better, i can track my arm better, but I don't know how efficient this motion and position is. I’m picking 4NPS to 120 bpm here (might have missed a note or two when looking at slow motion but cant hit this with the anchor method comfortably) , and i demonstrate the position in comfortable with vs the one that gives me strain. Is this a sustainable way to play? If not, how can i make myself more comfortable with the bridge anchor method. If the answer is yes, is the motion efficient? If so, what kind of motion is it so i can focus on its CTC content to improve it. Thanks in advance!!!
