Picking technique?

Description

3 note patterns on high E string and then across B,G,D,A,E,A, etc… I have watched most of Troy’s technique videos online before I joined the site so I am looking for some feedback on what I am actually doing naturally before I dive in. I struggle with playing 3 notes on a string fluidly at speed so I have gravatated toward legato in the past. Thanks for any input!

Fan Motion

Fan Motion

I have been toying with the Ed fan picking technique but my elbow is still hard to disengage while trying to get the wrist rotating. Any advice on smoothing it out? It is a fun movement to work on but still ragged and hard to keep going. Thanks.

Not sure if I am achieving double escape dart motion Troy. My wrist is moving now with less elbow input. The picking is ragged while trying to go faster.
