when cross picking do you always manage to hit only the string you want do you still make mistakes here and there with regards to cross picking? Sometimes i feel like i have full control but then other times it gets a bit scrappy. You look like you have full control of what you want to do at all times. Thanks Tom from uk

Were you conscious of slanting the pick either up or downward as you were practicing through the years or were you not really thinking about that? Were you only aware of the edge picking technique?

I purchased a Mandolin last month since I saw your last interview. Is a there a fretboard visualization systems that you use or that is common for Mandolin like the CAGED system for guitar. P.S. I'm also practicing bluegrass rolls on my EVH Striped Series.

I love the Tom Quayle style ala fusion, but also love Bluegrass and all things flatpicked on guitar. It makes it confusing when I switch back an forth from acoustic to electric guitar since the techniques are day and night. I need to simplify my style. How do you switch between different styles and techniques without chocking. Thanks
