This photo came in last night of the Magnets boxed up and awaiting a truck at the factory, and it shows at least 5 pallets ready to go. But the math tells the real tally. Packed 36 to each 23-pound box, arranged two boxes by two boxes per pallet, and stacked five high, that’s… seven pallets.
That’s also 140 boxes, 3200 pounds of plastic and rubber. Where are we gonna fit all these things??
We’ll be breaking out our junior high geometry this week to make sure we have enough office space to stash them all. This will probably entail sliding some desks around, and maybe even dismantling a few, just to be on the safe side.
We don’t know how long the actual freight from the factory to us will take, so we can’t update you on that. But as long as they don’t end up at the bottom of the ocean alongside a fleet of Toyotas in a freak container ship accident, they’ll be sure to get here eventually, and we’ll update you when they do.
In the mean time, we’ll be doing our warmups and stretching. Learning to alternate pick a guitar is repetitive work, so I have a healthy fear of what testing, packing, and shipping a few thousand Magnets might do to our cartilage.
We’ll also be sending out the questionnaire to gather your shipping addresses. We’ve held off on doing this because we didn’t want to collect information that would go out of date. We’d like to collect it once, and send everything out at once. Now that we’re getting closer, the timing is probably right. Please keep an eye out for that email from us, as we’ll try to get it out this week.
Thank you!
