Description

Lesson Antigravity
I find I build a lot of tension in my elbow when playing this lick and can't do it as cleanly, accurately, and effortlessly as I would like. It should be noted that USX is my primary escape movement, while DSX is something I struggle with. It's clear when playing 2wps/DBX licks like this that I'm swiping the downstroke string change - even though in this case, it's an inside string change. Is that something that should be dialed out somehow? I have a suspicion that this is what's contributing to my sense of 'losing the beat' while playing this lick. Interestingly, I'm able to play the 5nps version of this lick with relative ease, even though I'm sure the same swipe is taking place when going from the high e to b string.
