Chopbuilder 3nps
3nps major scale, also just a section of the full exercise. As I wrote in the description of the 2nps video, I’m trying a more supinated forearm position, and that seems to make it harder for me to have DSX. But then again, looking at clips from before, I might have actually never done a proper DSX. 3nps are somewhat hit or miss for me, since sometimes I can get them clean and they feel smooth. Other times they don’t feel as smooth, and my hand just feels slow. I’m also noticing, correct me if I am wrong, that I don’t have an escape motion in this clip.

Chopbuilder 2nps
2nps pentatonics. Been experimenting with putting the forearm in a tiny bit more supinated position, which seems to have somewhat eliminated the tension that I was feeling around the area that is slightly above bicep tendon insertion, after contionuos alternate picking, especially in this section of Chopbuilder. Also it might have slightly “unlocked” my wrist, as I always felt like it was kind of “locked up”, not loose enough, and like I am forcing the motion too much. It still has a lot of “loosening up” to it I would say, but I feel like it is a very slight improvement to my picking in the past.

Tremolo2
Tried tremolo with more wrist oriented motion and less elbow.

Tremolo
Tremolo picking. Hand and forearm always tense up when I do tremolo, resulting in what I feel like too “rigid” of a motion.

Chromatic runs
Chromatic runs from Petrucci’s Rock Discipline. This is all I’ve used to practice picking before starting the Pickslanting Primer, so a little bit more familiar with this run. Speed here has been increasing, without any real stalling, but I feel like it doesn’t transfer to my playing at all.

Six note pattern - connected
Couple of runs of Yngwie's six note pattern. Arm doesn't feel so stiff and tense, even though it looks like it, but I feel like it could be a lot more relaxed. Also, I feel as if though my form changes slightly when I go to the bottom strings, as well, as if I was using DBX form/motion.
