Here I do the Van Halen-Style Wrist Motion as shown in the test video. this is my maximum speed. 60FPS is the maximum my phone allows.
Here I do the di meola wrist motion as shown in the test video. this is my maximum speed. 60FPS is the maximum my phone allows.
Here I do the arm motion as shown in the test video. this is my maximum speed. 60FPS is the maximum my phone allows.
Here I do the forearm motion as shown in the test video. this is my maximum speed. 60FPS is the maximum my phone allows.
Here I do the knocking test seen in "chapter 1 - testing your speed". With the normal movement I'm around 190 BPM max and doing the triplets, as I do with the drums, the equivalent to 214 BPM 1/8 notes. I suppose the second one is not doable with a guitar thought.
A friend, following internet videos, recommended me to try a forearm movement for picking and I have been trying it for a few months without increasing the speed achieved significantly. Very far from the 180 BPM I'm used to. Any tips? I am pretty sure I am doing something funny.
This movement happens quite naturally for me when I try to down pick fast. it feels like nocking on the guitar but with a small angle I can use it easily for downpicking. Still I cant pass the 180 BPM mark. Any tips?
In this video I try my alternate picking arm movement with down picking but it feels very unprecise, tiresome and uncomfortable. Is it even worth trying? any tips?
This is my go to movement for alternate picking, very similar to my down picking, I think. I try to use dart movement of the wrist but it feels like I'm still using the arm and I cant pass 180 BPM with it. Any tips?
This is the first motion I used for alternate picking but I can't pass the 180 BPM speed and it is very tiresome. Any tips?
A friend recommended me this movement for alternate and I can barely reach 190 BPM with this after a long warmup. Is this a movement worth practicing? any tips?
Hi, this is my go to movement for picking. here you can see me down picking. I can't go faster than 180 after 15 years of playing and I have been focusing on that the last months with great frustration. Anything I can do better? BR Miguel
